All of our training courses are free for staff/volunteers and trustees working for community groups in the EC1 area
Emergency First Aid
Date: Saturday 17th October
Time: 9.30am to 4.30am (lunch provided)
Location: St Luke's Community Centre, 90 Central Street, EC1 8AJ
- care of unconscious casualty - resuscitation, including CPR - what to do if someone is choking - asthma and heart attack - epilepsy - control of bleeding - burns and scalds - contents of first aid boxes and their use - recording accidents
Roles and Responsibilities for Trustees
Date: Wednesday 28th October
Time: 6.30pm to 9pm
Location: St Luke's Community Centre, 90 Central Street, EC1 8AJ
- understand the legal responsibilities of trustees - understand the different roles on the committee - model job descriptions for trustees - understand key functions and powers of a committee - good practice tips on recruitment and induction for new trustees
Financial Management
Date: Wednesday 11th November
Time: 6.30pm to 9pm
Location: St Luke's Community Centre, 90 Central Street, EC1 8AJ
- understand budgeting and cash-flow projections - gain the ability to critically examine your organisation's financial planning and management - manage your petty cash properly!
